Great Tips for Getting Organized
Managing how your business is organized is a key factor for success in any business. This is even more true for internet marketing. Proper organization will save you time and money almost immediatly. Lack of organization can really hinder your ability to perform your job well. It is very important that you are organized in your Internet Marketing business. Here are several tips to help you get organized today.
Clean your Desk
The first tip is to clean your desk. A messy desk can cause you to misplace things which can cause you to waste a lot of your valuable time. A messy desk can hurt your performance in every facet of your Internet Marketing business.
Make a List Everyday
The second tip is to make a list everyday of the tasks that you need to accomplish. You need to plan everything you need to do each day and then check off each task as you complete it.
Block Your Time
While you’re making your list you should also block your day by assigning certain tasks to certain times. For example, from 12:00 to 12:44 you might want to write a blog. Assign a task with a time and make sure that’s what you’re doing. This will help keep you on task.
Throw out Office Supplies You Haven’t Used in Awhile
This is a simple tip that everyone can use. To help keep your desk and workspace organized throw away (or give to charity) any supplies you haven’t used in a long time.
Always Work Toward Accomplishing Goals
The last of the tips to get organized is to always work toward accomplishing goals. Everything you do should be working toward accomplishing a specific goal. If it isn’t then you’re just wasting your time.
The tips to get you organized are to clean your desk, make a list everyday, block your time, throw out old office supplies, and always work toward accomplishing goals. Follow these tips and you will improve your Internet Marketing business by becoming more organized.

Gosh this is brilliant, Jay. I love this list and am printing it to stick on my office wall (my office that is going to get a tidy up RIGHT NOW!)
Enjoy the journey.
Mandy
Hi Mandy,
Yep it is a good list, but I’ve added to it already. So some time in the future I will repost a much larger list.
I am making lists and individual steps to many of the things I am doing to improve on each and every process to accomplish things the right way. So I have lists for blogging, articles, affiliate chores, SEO chores….the whole gambit. What is cool is that I am refining these lists to actually improve how I do things, what works and getting rid of steps that do not make a difference.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting. Always good to hear from you.
Jay
Hello Jay,
How are you doing? I’m in the process of reading prior posts in John Thornhill’s masterclass and that is how I found you.
Just wondering how I can put my personal info on my blog like you have on this one. Can this info be added as a widget above my google ad?
Thanks for your time Jay, have a grand day.
Barry
Hi Barry,
Sorry I am taking so long to answer this one, but I’m half way across the country from my home. Then I had to investigate how I did it…it was such a long time ago.
I used a gravatar plug-in that contains the widget and ties the bio together with the gravatar.
First, in the admin panel go to Plug-ins/Add New then type in wp-gravatar. Then install it and activate it.
You also have to upload your photo to a gravatar site and link it to your site url. This will allow you to post on other peoples blogs and if you use your url, your photo will now appear.
The next thing is to fillout your bio information. In the admin area go to USERS/Your Profile and under About Yourself, fill in the Biographical Info.
Then place the widget where ou want it. The widget ties the gravatar and the bio together.
Hope this helps you out.

Hi Jay,
Being & staying organized are crucial to one’s success. If you’re not organized in your business & life in general, you’ll be constantly spinning your wheels. Thanks for the list!
